Our hunts are 6 or 8 full days of hunting so your arrival and departure days don’t count. A typical day starts well  before daylight, your guide will take you out to your stand either by truck, atv and sometimes will have to walk the last bit in. Stands are typically elevated box blinds but can also  vary to ground blinds and tree stands depending on weather  conditions and game movement. All stands will have a comfortable chair and a heater to keep you comfortable all  day. Stands are typically set up on cut lines, slew bottoms  or field edges, however we have found the most effective has  been in the big bush on cut lines. The big old boys know how  to stay alive and that means living in the bush, the cutlines  give us a brief window of opportunity.  We are lucky enough that we live and ranch on the same zone that we outfit in.  Owning a large track of land as well as having been born and raised in this area, we feel we know it better then most and have access to an almost endless amount of land.  After last light we  will be there to pick you up and bring you back to camp where  there will be a warm home cooked meal and good company  waiting. We work hard scouting and do our very best to keep  you chasing big deer that we have pre scouted and thoughtfully chosen our spots.
In our Mcleod River Camp we are now able to offer Mule Deer as an add on species.  Tags can be purchased either before your hunt or after you tag out on your whitetail (depending on availability).  Mule Deer are hunted in a combination of methods either still hunting, or spot and stalk deepening on the terrain etc.
