Jaynell was raised on the ranch where our Beaverdam whitetail camp is. Along with their whitetail operation they run a large scale purebred red Angus cattle operation. Colbie has been involved in the outfitting industry for 15 years. He started his guiding career in the Yukon for Yukon Big Game Outfitters, Guiding for a decade before moving on to co owning and managing Ceaser Lake Outfitters in the Yukon as well as Summit Bighorns also in Alberta. Outfitting is near and dear to our family and we are so exited to be able to offer theses hunts up.

Connor Adams came on board late in 2024 as a partner/guide and will be leading the charge at out McLeod River camp. He is 27 years old from Whitecourt, Alberta. A life long outdoorsman, hunter & fisherman growing up along the McLeod river. He has worked across Canada as a ranchhand, wireliner, partaken in ice road development, avid singer/songwriter, wrangler & guide. Connor has always pursued his dreams, and every November they come true. The area between Edson & Sangudo boasts some of the most legendary trophies for both Whitetail & Mule deer in the Country with over 5000 square kilometres of public land skirting the northern fringe of the richest farmland in the world. Over 14 years of hunting Connor has taken a number of deer himself ranging within 150-190 B&C. Being born and raised in the area is a huge advantage. Having a strong relationship with locals is essential to access quality private and lease land. We have access to roughly 50,000 in lease land and 15,000 private.

LOCATION
Beaverdam Camp is located approximately 3 hrs north east of Edmonton Alberta which will be your main commercial flight destination. Widely considered some of the best big deer habitat in the province. Our deer have the genetics, the feed and because of the big bush country have the chance to grow up and mature into true giants. Deer camp is in between the town of Bonnyville and the city of cold lake, with the nearest being 30 mins away. Our east border is the Alberta Sask border and the south border is the north Saskatchewan river. We personally own over 5,000 acres of prime land in the hunting area which we have exclusive access to, as well as another 55,000 acres of privately owned and leased land that we can hunt on. Its a GIANT area and we have the pick of which spots to hunt. We are very blessed to be able to outfit in such a great piece of country.

McLoed River Camp is Located approximately 1 hr and 45 mins north west of Edmonton near Edson Alberta. We hunt 2 different zones here both with a perfect mix of crop land and big bush country. The Edson area is well known for producing giant non typical genetics. The World record non typical Mule Deer was taken in this zone!! Game densities here are among the highest in the province as they typically get more rain in the summer then most regions as well as typically mild winters and enough good alfalfa fields to get the deer though the winters. This area has some of the most productive farm land in the province. Connor’s family homesteaded here back in 1891 and has been here since. He knows everyone in the area and has access to much of the zones private land.
GETTING HERE
Travelling here you have a few options. If you chose to fly commercially you will want to book your flight into Edmonton Alberta. From there you will need to rent a vehicle. Another option is to drive directly to our camp. We have decent road access and even cars will be able to make it back to the camp. Driving is also suggested if you are wanting to bring more then 50 lbs of meat home with you. Most airlines will allow you to bring up to 50 lbs in a cooler checked on your commercial flight home. However if your wanting to bring your all your meat horns and cape home you should consider driving. We strongly suggest that you arrive in Edmonton the day before your scheduled arrival date to deer camp to allow for lost luggage or flight delays etc.

GETTING THROUGH CUSTOMS
Make sure you have 2 forms completed before leaving the U.S. CBP form 4457. This must be done with U.S customs BEFORE you leave. It will prove you left with the valuables listed (rifle) and you will need to show them upon return to the USA. It’s good for life, and it’s also good to put anything with a serial number on it as well. Ie. Spotting scope & binoculars. Canadian Customs will require you to fill out a NON RESIDENT FIREARM DECLARATION form. You should have this pre-filled to save time. This is all a very simple process and not stressful at all. Just be prepared with the correct documents and there won’t be any issues. (DO NOT SIGN IT BEFORE THE CUSTOMS AGENT ASKS). With your hunt contract we will send you these necessary forms.
Here is a link that goes over any questions you may have with the customs/airport security issues that may arise.
